Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Winners

The Pageland Chamber of Commerce awards scholarships at the two area high schools each year.  Applicants must meet the following requirements to be considered:

1) South Carolina resident

2) Plan to attend a South Carolina higher education institution

3) Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

4) “A” in each business education class taken

5) Active involvement in community service and related activities

We are proud to announce the winners for this year. 

From Central High School, the award winner is Brittany Clark.  She is the daughter of Marilyn and Steve Clark from Jefferson, SC.  She is the Valedictorian for the 2009 class at Central High.  Brittany will be attending the University of South Carolina this fall, majoring in Health Sciences.

Our co-winners from South Pointe Christian School are Daniel and Stephen Atkinson.  They are the sons of Randy and Eileen Atkinson of Pageland.  They also share the Salutatorian award for the 2009 class at South Pointe.  Daniel plans to attend North Greenville University and Stephen may attend Columbia International University in the fall.
