“Paint the Town Purple” – A WEEK OF HOPE IN PAGELAND
In recognition of all those we have lost to Cancer, all those who are fighting Cancer and all those that have survived Cancer we are painting the town PURPLE. The Residents of Pageland are being asked to do something a little PURPLE the week of April 17th through the 23rd. Tie a PURPLE ribbon on your mailbox, fly a PURPLE flag, hang a wreath of PURPLE flowers on your door. Businesses are being asked to do a PURPLE themed window display. Everyone is being asked to wear PURPLE that week.
To Kick the Week of Hope off, Mayor Brian Hough will be making a Proclamation on the steps of Town Hall on Monday April 18th at noon. We encourage you all to attend the Proclamation reading.
Many of our downtown merchants will have Purple Ribbons and Purple Boutonnieres for sale that week, with all proceeds going to Relay for Life. There will also be PURPLE specials at many Pageland businesses that week, so be sure and Shop Local and Shop Purple!
