BLADEZ HAIR SALON JOINS CHAMBER

The Chamber welcomes new 2011 member Bladez Hair Salon.  Amanda Stegall is the owner and has been with the salon for 15 years.  The salon opened in 1990, under the original owner Kim (Williams) Peyton.   There are seven staff members.  Southeastern Beauty College graduates Amanda , Kelly Chapman and Lisa Bledsoe; Monroe Beauty School graduate Karen West; Kenneth Schuler graduate Elizabeth Caote; and LaGrand Cosmetology graduates Ashley Atkinson and Casey Watts. 

The salon offers all the services imaginable, such as: updated color, cuts and perms, waxing, facials, and massage.  You can also see them for pedicures and manicures, special wraps and foils, and the keratin blowout systems.

Walk in services is available for women, men and children.  You can purchase spa day packages and they can do special events such as birthday parties!  Appointments can be made by calling 843-672-5464.

The girls have been busy during the years at Bladez.  They have participated in Ladies Night Out, October cut for a cure – raising over $600 for the Susan G. Koren Foundation.  They average 10 Locks of Love donations a year.  They donate to several local organizations thoroughout Chesterfield County, including a toy drive in December to area schools.  They have participated in parades and event booths at the Watermelon Festival.   ”We try to give back to the community, and we enjoy it!” Amanda Stegall told Chamber members present for the plaque presentation.  They are currently hosting a coat drive for the Lois G McArn Food Bank of Cheraw.  If you have items to donate, please drop them off as soon as possible.  They are looking for new and gently used coats, sweaters, hats, scarves, and gloves. 

Chamber President, Tony Nolan added “We appreciate the community service you do as a business and individuals.  We wish you much success and ask that you call us, participate with us, and enjoy the community we all serve.  The Chamber is here to help our existing business community and we strive to make Pageland a wonderful town to live and work.”

Shaw Freeman added “with your confidence in us through your membership, the Chamber will continue to do great things.  We are also here to help you and others in our business community.”

Amanda has taken a huge step forward in participating with the Chamber by accepting an appointment to the Board of Directors.  Her co-workers and husband encouraged her to become involved.  “I think that this will be a great privilege and I am very honored to accept this seat.”
