Those close to this individual will agree the person has a strong will, an engaging manner, and a remarkable wit. Since the 1950’s, this individual has served her church as a Sunday School teacher, finance committee member, personnel committee member and served in many other capacities. This individual played an integral part in the execution of the plan to bring the Blessings Resource Center into existence. In addition to her dedication to Chesterfield County First Steps and the Blessings Resource Center, she is active in the Garden Club and supports many other community groups. The Chamber of Commerce would like to recognize as 2016 Citizen of the Year, Amelia Clontz.

Chamber Service Award

Following tenure as a Chamber Board Member, this individual has continued to support the Chamber by volunteering to plan and coordinate our Annual Golf Tournament each year (20 years to be exact). He has informed us that he has planned to relinquish that task for 2016. We very much appreciate his efforts to support the Chamber. Steve Kirchin, we THANK YOU again for all of your hard work!!!! We will miss you greatly!!!!

Community Service Award

The Blessings Resource Center has made a tremendous impact on our community since they first opened. They assessed the needs of the community, and formed a strong Board of Directors to execute the plan of helping others. They brought together a group of dedicated volunteers who have spent countless hours serving those who are less fortunate. The dedication and leadership of Chesterfield County First Steps Director, Karen Martini, partnered with the Blessings Resource Center Board of Directors and volunteers has significantly met the needs of many. For this, we are truly grateful. The 2016 Community Service Award went to the Blessings Resource Center.

Again, we thank everyone who was able to attend. We appreciate all the hard work, dedication, and continued support of each of our members and we certainly look forward to partnering with you again in 2016 for a fantastic year!!!
