Description: Friends and family are planning a benefit event for Gray’s family from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. March 6 at the Pageland Community Center. The event includes a barbecue sale, raffle and yard sale.

Christina is battling ovarian cancer for the second time. It’s a disease most often found in women twice her age, rare enough in young women to rattle her own doctor when it was first discovered.

Gray has already accumulated $50,000 in medical bills from fighting her second round with cancer. Because it’s her second diagnosis, her insurance considers it to be a pre-existing condition and won’t pay for treatment.
