Home / Carousel / Pageland Pride Success!

Pageland Pride week was a huge success!  There were many projects completed during the 6 day event.  The weather was beautiful and added to the good spirits of the volunteers.  Painting, washing, pulling weeds, sweeping, planting, and repair work were just some of the activities going on.  Work crews included businesses, church volunteers and youth groups, orginizations, prayer groups, civic groups and individuals.

Some things were a challenge, like finding a water source for pressure washing buildings.  Pageland Floral & Gifts stepped up to the plate and took care of that problem.  After further investigation, some minor repairs need to be made before painting can be done on some buildings.  So, we have some projects that are still underway.  You will continue to see change in our town as these buildings are completed.

Thanks to all our volunteers!  If you gave us 30 minutes or 6 days of work, it is appreciated!  Thank you to Wal-Mart DC 6073 for providing the cookout on Saturday in honor of all those who worked so hard.  We finally had a chance to relax and enjoy each other and the pride we felt for giving to our community.

Below are some pictures of work in progress.   Check back on this website later for some before and after shots.  It is pretty amazing what a coat of paint can do. We hope Pageland Pride and our citizens will like the improvements so much that we can do this again soon.  Many hands make light work!!!
